Faerie in Phoenix; Hope, Wonder, and Deleria June Meeting

The Faerieworlds Festival is going on August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Some of us will be undertaking the journey this year (along with some of our friends from the Las Vegas Faeries) in a big 15 passenger van, with a road trip to and from. Discussion of prices and available spaces will be discussed, as well as information gathered as to what stops we will want to make along the way.

In November, the Phoenix Faerie Festival/ will be celebrating its second year. We'll have the photos of the site (THERE ARE TREES! Trees we get to decorate!). The location is much easier to find, and has great access. Many details will be available, and this year we have much more time to prepare. Also, we will have seperate areas to set up our camp and our "floor show". Lots more to discuss on that one.

Also, try to bring a few ideas for what our band of faeries might call itself when we are running about in public, besides "the Phoenix Faeries".

We'll have wing designing materials on hand, so anyone who doesn't have a set of wings already or would like another should be ready to begin construction. There are three kinds of wings that we design, organza cloth, cellophane, and hosiery. If you want a specific color, be sure to bring your own organza, cellophane or pantyhose (otherwise you will have to settle for what will already be there).

Anyone needing assistance with costuming and/or makeup can recieve it.

Faerie friendly snacks will be available, and we'll be buying a communal hummus plate or two.

The new Willow House is at Van Buren and 17th Drive. There is parking in the back and on the street on 17th Drive. Bring a jacket in case we decide to hang out outdoors... the courtyard is awsome, but it might still be chill that evening.

If this is the first fae meetup for you, please be ready to meet friendly, interesting people. Bring tales of your own studies or experiences with the otherworld, and know that you do so in a safe place. While many of our number are Pagan or otherwise magickally active, if you are in the Broom Closet, don't out yourself; there may be non-pagans in attendance.
