This meetup falls on the same night as the Full Moon, so I realize that some of our membership may not be able to make it. For those of you who do arrive, we will have a small observance. For those who can't make it to this one, we'll also have a weekend meeting this month so noone needs to be excluded.

We're going to be doing wing design, so anyone who doesn't have a set of wings already or would like another should be ready to begin construction. There are three kinds of wings that we design, organza cloth, cellophane, and hosiery. If you want a specific color, be sure to bring your own organza, cellophane or pantyhose (otherwise you will have to settle for what will already be there).

We have some events coming up.

1) Arizona Renaissance Festival
2) The as yet unnamed spring picnic
3)Faerieworlds]
4) [url=http://www.labyrinthmasquerade.com/]Labyrinth of Jareth
our pictures from 2007
5) Phoenix Faerie Festival/2008 Unseelie Ball

Anyone needing assistance with costuming and/or makeup can recieve it.

Faerie friendly snacks will be available, and we'll be buying a communal hummus plate or two.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
The new Willow House is at Van Buren and 17th Drive. There is parking in the back and on the street on 17th Drive. Bring a jacket in case we decide to hang out outdoors... the courtyard is awsome, but it might still be chill that evening.

If this is the first fae meetup for you, please be ready to meet friendly, interesting people. Bring tales of your own studies or experiences with the otherworld, and know that you do so in a safe place. While many of our number are Pagan or otherwise magickally active, if you are in the Broom Closet, don't out yourself; there may be non-pagans in attendance.

Any quesitons can be addressed to the organizer, Robert, at 602-527-0169.

If you would like to share a faerietale, be sure to bring it.

WINGS! Oh cool. I have the wire frame for a pair of swallowtail wings already started, I'll bring those with, along with other tools and stuff too.

As for keepsakes, the Winter Raides are over, but we have several events coming up. If you would like to contribute supplies or small gifts to our "communal dross basket", that would be awsome. We'll find some time when we are not crafting wings to fix up a quick keepsake or two. Also, I'll gift some of our new members with examples of our previous gifts. If you look back on the message board to June 2005, you can see the post "Dream Components" to get some ideas.

Connie, As for appropriate costuming, there is no dress code! We have members who are into dressing up as faeries, furry people, cosplayers and loli dress up specialists (I probably butchered that description!) Things could be as simple as a splash of unusual eye shadow all the way up to a full body suit of armor, replete with wings. Whatever you have time for or would have fun being seen in.

Who attended?

    •  We had a great time working on new wings and costumes, watching the lunar eclipse and the LIGHTNING AND RAIN!!!! WOO HOO!!!
